Merry-go-rounds

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced recalls of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. For a complete list of recalled products, visit www.cpsc.gov.

Manufacturer: Pacific Cycle Inc., of Madison, Wis.

Hazard: The inner bearing on the merry-go-round can fail, causing the seat assembly to drop suddenly to the ground. This poses a fall hazard to riders.

Description: The Playsafe Spinning Quad Merry-Go-Round has four yellow plastic seats and black and silver metal bars.

Sold exclusively by: Toys R Us nationwide from January through March 2008 for $80 to $100.

Remedy: Return the merry-go-round to Toys R Us for a refund or contact Pacific Cycle to receive a free retrofit kit.
