Children’s blankets

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced recalls of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. For a complete list of recalled products, visit www.cpsc.gov.

Units: About 74,000

Manufacturer: Douglas Co., of Keene, N.H.

Hazard: The blanket’s satin edge can come loose, posing a strangulation hazard.

Description: The children’s blankets are 14 inches square with an animal head sewn in the middle.

Sold by: Specialty stores nationwide and on the Web from April 2005 through December 2007 for about $12.

Remedy: Return the blankets to Douglas for a free replacement blanket or credit toward another item of equal value.
