Earn CME in a winter wonderland at Practical Pediatrics

Skiing, snow tubing and stunning views will ac company the "Practical
Pediatrics" course Jan. 24-27 at Copper Mountain Resort in Copper
Mountain, Colo.
Designed for pediatricians, family physicians and allied health
professionals who care for children, the course combines question-and-answer
sessions and interactive seminars with lectures. Participants will take an
active role in learning about important issues in pediatrics today, while
learning how to diagnose and treat patients more effectively. Set in a
pedestrian-only winter wonderland complete with sleigh rides, specialty shops
and ice sports, Practical Pediatrics provides an opportunity for education
through discussion with peers and faculty.
Topics and faculty highlights include:
- Treatment of Childhood Arthritis: From Aspirin to Biologics and
Muscle Weakness and Skin Rash: Juvenile Dermatomyositis, with Linda
Wagner-Weiner, M.D., FAAP, assistant professor of pediatrics at University of
Chicago;

M.D., FAAD, FAAP, assistant professor of pediatrics and dermatology at
Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago;

Pediatrician Do? with William A. Lutin, M.D., Ph.D., FACC, FAAP,
professor of pediatrics at Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Ga.;
- Pop and Drop: A Neurology Perspective on Head Trauma and First
and Second Seizure: What To Know and Do, with Paul Graham Fisher, M.D.,
FAAP, associate professor of neurology, pediatrics, neurosurgery and human
biology at Stanford University, Palo Alto, Calif.;
- The Baby is Burning Up, Now What? and Infectious Diseases
Cases: Vaccine-Preventable Diseases, with Meg Fisher, M.D., FAAP,
professor of pediatrics at Drexel University College of Medicine, Long Branch,
N.J.; and

Athletes, with Andrew J.M. Gregory, M.D., FACSM, FAAP, assistant
professor of orthopedics and pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical

Participants can earn a maximum of 17.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
