Committee offers EPSDT handbook

The AAP Committee on Child Health Financing has completed a new handbook for pediatricians on the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) Program.

The publication, titled "Medicaid's EPSDT Program: A Pediatrician's Handbook for Action," includes five sections. The handbook provides an outline of EPSDT's problems and potential and includes commentaries by pediatricians on model state programs and statistical profiles on each state.
