Pediatricians should know advantages of year-end giving

Integral to most pediatricians' financial plans each year is charitable giving. The advantages of making gifts before year-end have been easy to pinpoint during the past few years. Anticipation of lower tax rates the following year provided an incentive to give before the end of the year in 1984, 1985, 1986 and 1987.

As far as we can tell, the tax rates in 1989 will be the same as 1988. End of story? Hardly. Consider at least three important factors: the timing, size, and form of your gifts.
