Kenneth Cox, M.D., FAAP, of San Francisco, has been appointed chief of pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition in the Department of Pediatrics at Pacific Presbyterian Medical Center.

Charles W. Daeschner Jr., M.D., FAAP, of Galveston, Texas was honored in September by the Texas Pediatric Society during their Annual Meeting. The meeting was dedicated to Dr. Daeschner and only featured speakers who are his former trainees or associates. Dr. Daeschner is retiring this year after 28 years as chairman of the pediatrics department at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
