USA Today to run child health series, operate telephone hot line with AAP

The Academy is working with USA Today in preparing a special series of articles regarding child health scheduled to appear in the national newspaper's Sept. 9, 10 and 11 editions.

Some articles featured in the series will include reports on childhood eating habits, fitness and stress. Other series articles will examine how to select a pediatrician and how to talk to children about AIDS.

In conjunction with the series, readers will be invited to telephone a special national hot line to ask pediatricians common child health and back-to-school questions. The hot line, located at the USA Today offices in Arlington, Va., will operate on Sept. 10 and 11 only.
