Female pediatricians: Is AAP News insensitive?

I just finished reading the June 1987 AAP News and had to comment on what is perceived as a lack of sensitivity toward the female members of the AAP. All the pictures in the issue had names to identify the individuals (which, by the way, is one of the reasons people read the news), except those associated with the women on page 3 and the picture of a speaker, "Female FAAPs," on the last page. The fact that one of the pictures was of a very prominent Fellow of the AAP makes this an even more egregious omission.
