Religious observance weekend to spread word of child survival

Simple and inexpensive means exist to save half of the 40,000 children worldwide who die each day from preventable causes. This is the message that UNICEF and other groups hope to convey to communities during the Child Survival Religious Observance Weekend.

The weekend, scheduled for Oct. 30 through Nov. 1, is part of the Campaign for Child Survival, a public education and awareness campaign spearheaded by the U.S. Committee for UNICEF.
