AAP office assists chapters with legislative projects

AAP chapters involved in advocacy activities on the state level now can call the Academy's central office for assistance.

Technical assistance is available from the central office on issues ranging from hot water heaters and child passenger safety to Medicaid and contracting with HMOs. The new service can be especially beneficial for chapters developing state legislation, implementing federal regulations, negotiating with alternative delivery systems and building child health coalitions.
