AAP membership dues reduced for pediatric residents

Starting July 1, pediatric residents will be able to enroll as AAP Junior Fellows for only $20 per year, compared with the current rate of $45, through an educational grant from the Mead Johnson Nutritional Group.

Under this grant, called the Resident Assistance Program (RAP), Mead Johnson will underwrite the cost of providing residents in training with a Pediatrics subscription and a copy of the Report of the Committee on Infectious Diseases, commonly known as the Red Book. Commencing in July, the program will be limited to PLIIIs. The program will be extended to PLIIs and PLIs in subsequent years. As a result of RAP and other corporate grants for pediatric residents, the Academy now can offer the additional benefits of Junior Fellowship at a modest fee to cover direct expenses.
