AAP provides parents with day care facts

The Academy recently mailed day care fact kits to more than 2,500 news media as part of a national campaign to educate parents about child health in day care.

Developed in conjunction with the new AAP manual, Health in Day Care: A Manual for Health Professionals, the fact kit highlights advice on how to combat some of today's day care dilemmas — quality of day care facilities, managing infections and injuries in day care, and alternate care for the sick child.
