Doctors Lebetter and Sanders will fill AAP staff positions

Edgar Otis Ledbetter, M.D., joined the AAP staff in January as director of the Department of Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health.

Dr. Ledbetter replaces Jean Lockhart, M.D., who is retiring from the Academy in July. In the meantime, Dr. Lockhart continues to serve as an AAP consultant.

Dr. Ledbetter was a professor in the pediatrics department of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas prior to joining the AAP staff.
