Migrant directory being updated

Migrant families travel throughout the nation, moving from job to job in search of seasonal work. To help these workers' children receive quality health care, the Academy annually publishes the Migrant Health Directory. Pediatricians use this resource to refer families to physicians or clinics in the next community the families will visit.

The Directory has become a vital link between migrant children with chronic diseases and physicians who can provide treatment. The listing also has been used to prevent outbreaks of disease from spreading.
