Health groups unite for violence prevention

Sherry Trust Llewellyn

The Academy is joining with other health groups to launch a national initiative on youth and school violence. Other organizations involved in the campaign include the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine, the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, and the American Public Health Association. The group is working to develop a plan to address the serious issue of youth violence. Check future issues of AAP News for more information as the group further develops its campaign.
