UPDATE: Status of generic drug lawsuit against FDAMA

Last month, AAP News reported the Academy had submitted a request to intervene in a federal lawsuit over a law that addresses testing drugs for use in children.

The generic drug industry brought a federal case against the AAP-supported pediatric provilsion of the Food and Drug Aministration Modernization Act (FDAMA).

While the Academy was not accepted as an intervenor in the case, AAP lawyers were permitted to make a compelling oral argument and submit written amicus brief in favor of FDAMA.
