History taking in asthma emergecies

Emergency department (ED) physicians often fail to ask key questions when taking asthma patients' histories and neglect to provide some important information during discharge planning, according to a New York study.

Researchers identified four areas that published guidelines and experts agree are necessary elements for assessing and treating acute asthma episodes.
