National committee openings

Nominations are being solicited to fill 28 member vacancies on 15 AAP National Committees for the 2000-01 year.

The nomination deadline is March 1, 2000.

Candidates must have knowledge and expertise in an area related to the applicable committee's endeavors and a willingness and ability to serve. Nominees, for example, may have been involved in chapter, district, section or other AAP activities relevant to the committee's work.

AAP membership demographics, such as professional activity, gender, ethnicity and geographical distribution, will be considered. Efforts also will be made to include at least one practicing pediatric generalist as a voting member on each national committee.
