Sherry Trust Llewellyn

Jackie Noyes, AAP associate executive director, will receive a 1999 Distinguished Alumnae Award on April 24 from Converse College, Spartanburg, S.C., for outstanding achievement, service to the community and loyalty to the college.

Based in the Academy's Washington, D.C., office, Noyes oversees the work of the AAP Department of Federal Affairs, and the Department of Chapter and State Affairs. She recently marked her 25th anniversary with the Academy.

Noyes earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Converse and a master's in the same field from University of Virginia, Charlottesville. In 1973, she joined the Academy as a legislative aide, and worked as director of the Wahington Office from 1977 to 1994. Noyes has been associate executive director since 1994.
