Colorado pediatrician Donald E. Cook, M.D., was chosen AAP vice president/president-elect, and eight other Fellows won district and national offices in an election that attracted 31 percent of the more than 31,600 eligible voters.

"It feels great," Dr. Cook said several days after the election results were announced. "I'm still about 10 feet off the ground — and flying well."

The eight district winners are:

• District I: Eileen M. Ouellette, M.D., J.D., District Chairperson;

District II: Robert M. Corwin, M.D., Alternate District Chairperson, and Roger A. Forden, M.D., National Nominating Committee member;
