Luann Zanzola

Boston pediatrician Joel J. Alpert, M.D., was chosen AAP vice president-elect, and 10 other fellows won district and national offices in an election that attracted 37 percent of the more than 32,000 eligible voters.

The 10 district winners are:

Eileen Ouellette and Suzanne Boulter from District I;

Susan Aronson, District III;

• Charles Linder and Francis Rushton, District IV;

• Ordean Torstenson and Kathryn Nichol, District VI;

• Gary Peck and Larry Patton, District VII; and

• Lucy Crain, District IX.

Eligible voters included AAP fellows, specialty fellows and Canadian Paediatric Society/AAP dual fellows. The Academy mails ballots each year on April 1, with a May 1 deadline for return.
