Environmental tobacco smoke could affect babies' feeding behaviors, a Brazilian study suggested. Researchers questioned mothers of 1,098 infants about breastfeeding duration, maternal smoking and the presence of other smokers in their households. Results of the six-month study showed: compared to nonsmokers, mothers who smoked 20 or more cigarettes daily presented an odds ratio of 1.94 for breastfeeding less than six months;
