Physicians weigh managed-care risks, benefits

Many pediatricians are bewildered by the rapidly changing health care environment. We are confused about why the pediatrician's office is being labeled a "health care marketplace." We are being asked to make decisions and "choices that affect our professional lives. In a real sense, our professional lives represent our professional investment capital. We need to understand that the choices we are making require an investing strategy for our professional capital.
