More nit-picking

These comments are intended to be a "combback" to Dr. Palmer's article ("Schools waste time, energy on no-nits policies," AAP, News, September 1993). I don't mean to just "nit-pick," but instead wish to share a different point of view with regard to head lice policies in schools.

Five years ago, my kindergartner was found to have a mild case of head lice. I followed the advice I have given for many years as a pediatrician.
