Chapter forum links members, leadership

Robert Corwin M.D.1

1 Chairperson, AAP Chapter Forum Committee

The AAP Annual Chapter Forum provides the primary communications link between the grass roots member and the AAP Board of Directors. This mechanism for sharing ideas and concerns originated in 1977, and was formalized in August 1978, when the first Forum was convened. Each fall since, the president and vice president of each Academy chapter, the executive and senior staff, meet in Chicago for three days to share information, orient new officers, provide leadership training, and shape the future of the Academy.
