Congress reduces 'informational requirements': Vaccine information pamphlets simplified

Congress approved an AAP-backed provision Nov. 20 to simplify the vaccine information pamphlets (VIPs) that physicians are required to distribute to parents before immunizing their children.

The VIPs were created under the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Compensation Act of 1986 (P.L. 99-660).
