AAP supports health care reform bill: Academy vows to make added improvements

The Academy lent official support for President Clinton's health care reform bill, Dec. 17, when AAP President Betty Lowe sent a letter to the administration on behalf of the AAP Board of Directors.

The move marked the first time the Academy has officially supported the President's "Health Security Act of 1993" (S. 1757 and H.R. 3600), which was introduced as legislation before Congress on Nov. 20.
