Checklist for athletic programs

In an effort to help schools evaluate the health aspects of their athletic programs, the Academy has mailed a health supervision checklist to 24,000 high school athletic directors in the United States.

The complimentary copies of the "Self-Appraisal Checklist for Health Supervision in Scholastic Athletic Programs" were mailed this month. The checklist was developed by the AAP Committee on Sports Medicine for use by school boards, superintendents, principals, athletic directors, coaches, trainers and team physicians.
