Pediatricians garner larger market share

There's good news and bad news in this new age for pediatrics.

First, the bad news: between 1976 and 1984, the population of children aged 19 years and younger, dropped from 75 million to 71 million.

Now, the good news: during these same years, despite the substantial decline in the numbner of pediatric patients, office-based pediatricians across the nation were able to increase their total number of patient visits.
