Two consumer magazines cite Academy in health care stories

Two popular consumer magazines contain articles citing the Academy in their September issues.

"The Better Way" section of Good Housekeeping includes comments on circumcision from AAP President Robert J. Haggerty, M.D. The article is part of a feature titled "Unnecessary Surgery: Are You at Risk?"

An "Update on Whooping Cough" appears in the health and fitness section of Changing Times. Fellow James D. Cherry, M.D., was interviewed for this article, which discusses endorsements and criticisms of the DTP vaccine.
