Fellows receive Endowment Fund grants to pursue research studies

Five Academy members recently received grants from the AAP Memorial Endowment Fund for Children (MEFC) to conduct research studies at the state and local levels.

Since its formation in 1973, the MEFC has awarded grants to more than 50 practicing pediatricians for studies designed to improve the health and welfare of children.

The most recent recipients of the MEFC awards, who received grants ranging from $1,000 to $3,000, are:

Richard C. Wasserman, M.D., FAAP, for "Infant Temperament and School Age Behavior: A Longitudinal Study"
