Growth campaign attains goal, meets Kresge challenge grant

The Academy has reached its $8.8 million goal in the Growth for the Future campaign to raise funds for the AAP's Elk Grove Village headquarters building.

The facility was built for about $500,000 less than projected costs.

The AAP achieved its final campaign goal, in part, through a $400,000 grant from the Kresge Foundation of Troy, Mich. The Academy was notified that it will receive the funds through a challenge grant from the Kresge Foundation this month. Under the grant's terms, the Academy had to raise $8.4 million by July 15 before being awarded the grant. The grant represents the campaign's largest single foundation pledge.
