The Section on Perinatal Pediatrics, the largest AAP Section, is "on course" to achieving its goal of 1,500 members by October 1986, according to Section Chairman L. Joseph Butterfield, M.D., FAAP.

The Section will honor its 1,000th member, Rajendra B. Desai, M.D., FAAP, of Troy, Mich., at the AAP Annual Meeting in San Antonio. Dr. Desai has been invited to the meeting as a guest of the Section and will be recognized during the group's business meeting at 1 p.m. on Oct. 21.
