Plenary sessions feature joint meeting with AACP

Plenary sessions featuring special guest speakers, presentations by top pediatric experts on current pediatric topics, and a unique one-day joint session with the american Academy of Child Psychiatry, will highlight the program of the Academy's 36th Annual Meeting in San Antonio.

San Antonio Mayor Henry Cisneros, AAP President Robert J. Haggerty, M.D., FAAP, and two keynote speakers will kick-off the first session on Monday, October 21. Following welcoming remarks by Mayor Cisneros and Dr. Haggerty, Sandra Scarr, Ph.D., will speak on "Expert Advice: How Useful for Today's Mothers and Children?" Dr. Scarr is chairman of the Department of Psychology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va.
