Sections cover wide range of interests

Interested in a specialized field of pediatrics?

AAP sections provide a forum for members to discuss research and clinical matters and develop specialized educational programs. The recent establishment of the AAP Section on Computers brings the total number of sections to 22.

In nearly half of the sections, the only requirements for membership are Academy Fellowship and an interest in the specifice area of pediatric care. The other sections have established additional membership requirements; some admit non-Fellows who devote a certain percentage of their professional time to pediatric care or admit members certified in the subspecialty.
