Health fairs prove successful for Academy chapters

Two AAP chapters recently participated in health fairs to educate children, parents and the public on a variety of health care topics. The chapter efforts are good examples of projects other chapters might undertake.

The AAP Hawaii Chapter became the first physician organization in the state to sponsor a health exhibition when Chapter members ran a two-day health fair in June.

"Health Fair for Children and Youth" attracted a large turnout, reports Yi-Chuan Ching, M.D., FAAP, fair chairman.
