Expert applies marketing to practice management

If your patient volume is decreasing, the problem may well be that you're failing to meet your patients' needs.

That was one point marketing expert Roger D. Blackwell, Ph.D., made in a presentation to the Council on Pediatric Practice (COPP) at its May meeting.

A professor of marketing at Ohio State University, Blackwell specializes in research and teaching in the areas of consumer behavior and marketing strategy. He also is a director of Market Group One, an organization specializing in marketing activities for organizations providing health care and other professional services.
