An experimental training program in pediatrics, psychiatry and child psychiatry will begin next year at six sites across the nation.

Called the Pediatric-Psychiatry-Child Psychiatry Pilot Project, the program was created by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and the ABPN Committee on Certification in Child Psychiatry. Project trainees will complete two years of general pediatrics, 1frac12 years of adult psychiatry and 11/2 years of child and adolescent psychiatry.
