Passage of vaccine injury legislation foreseen this year

Academy leaders are hopeful that some form of vaccine injury compensation legislation will be passed by Congress in 1985, AAP Vice President Martin H. Smith, M.D., said in a recent interview.

A long sought goal of the Academy, vaccine injury compensation legislation has received increased attention in light of the past year's shortage of pertussis vaccine.
