Joseph St. Geme, M.D., FAAP, has been named dean of the University of Colorado (UC) School of Medicine; the school's first permanent dean in nearly two years. He previously was chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California at Los Angeles ... Fellow Patricia Keener, M.D., is conducting a 13-week cable television series in Indiana. The series focuses on a baby sitter training program Dr. Keener developed. Called the Safe Sitter Program, the project trains teenagers in proper baby sitting techniques and how to react when an emergency arises.
