Robert G. Kettrick, M.D., FAAP, (right), director of the Pediatric Intensive Care-Immediate Unit at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, speaks with U.S. Sen. John H. Heinz during the Senator's recent visit to the unit. Heinz came to the hospital to discuss a bill he is sponsoring which would change the rules for Medicaid coverage of certain long-term patients. Under the bill, ventilator-dependent children could be cared for at home and still receive medical benefits. Before Dr. Kettrick is 21-month-old Sheree Frazier, a patient who would be affected by the change.
