Census results provide "snapshot" revealing diversity of members

• One-fourth of AAP Fellows and Junior Fellows care women.

Nearly two-thirds of AAP Fellows in direct patient care work in a group practice, a hospital practice or an alternative delivery setting such as a health maintenance organization (HMO).

A surprising proportion of Fellows receive some sort of income from contract fee-for-service or salaried positions.

These and other findings, documented in the recently-released AAP census, provide a snapshot of the Academy membership that describes who you are — and projects who future members will be.
