Look for the "catch" in liability coverage offered at low, low rates

Pediatricians, like other physicians, regularly receive solicitations from professional liability insurance companies. If you are approached by a liability carrier that offers coverage at remarkably lower rates, you might want to ask the following questions.

Why are their rates so low?

If the carrier is offering coverage under a claims-made policy, you are insured only for incidents that occur and are reported as claims while your policy is still in effect.
